New Portable Proof Testing Machine
Bishop Lifting Products, Inc. (BLP) is proud to announce the addition of a 150,000 pound portable proof test truck to their fleet of testing equipment. The new BLP portable test bed adds a new dimension to our level of service. We now have the ability to come directly to the customer, reducing downtime and costs, to perform on-site proof testing, repair, and RFID tagging services.
The 20 foot overall bed is designed to test all types of slings (twin path®, wire rope, synthetic, metal mesh, roundslings, alloy chain, and high performance), rigging hardware, oilfield tools, crane and snatch blocks. The test bed is also equipped with a mechanical wire rope gripper for testing longer winch lines, towing lines, raising lines, and pendant lines up to 1-3/4". The 150,000 pound capacity test bed can parked on location or positioned on the deck of marine vessels if needed.
All BLP Service technicians are trained in inspection and testing of lifting equipment in accordance with current industry standards and manufacturers recommendations. Our customers may choose to proof test lifting equipment at given intervals, or for verification purposes because of recent repair, modification, or dormancy. Once all testing has been completed, testing certificates can be retrieved on prooftesting.com and provide customers 24/7 access with login.
